SPRING – SOLSTICE – SUMMER 2015

Ca l’Antiga celebrates its first anniversary with a very special and gorgeous programme devoted to an artist who has travelled around the world illuminating his works with the colours, the light and the shadows learn in this territory called ‘El Maresme’.

Ramon Lombarte is back. During the last 30 years his work has been exhibit in Europe, Asia and America; however, followers in Spain had only the edited catalogues to know about his work. 1986 was indeed the last time his work was showed in Barcelona.

Lombarte’s comeback home deserves a special festival to showcase his paintings, drawings and sculptures. The exhibition will be like an opera in 2 Acts and a finale with just a touch of retrospective, just a touch as we will be able to admire recent, never shown before, works.

First Act of the Festival will be in May and June: “Paisatges d’interiors”, an itinerary around indoor landscapes. Second Act will be in full summer in June and July. We will enjoy live in the manner of French nonchalance or Italian dolcefarniente in “Gaudint de la vida”. The finale will be women: “Elles” (Women) will conclude the Lombarte’s Festival in August and September just at the door of fall season.

Lombarte’s plastic fair will be completed with other artistic events. Music, dance, anniversary celebration, “Remors” music festival concert and many other events will be announced during spring and summer.

EXHIBITION

Act I: «Paisatges d’interiors» (Indoor landscapes)

Lombarte’s comeback will encompas spring and summer seasons. Lombarte’s Festival is built in 3 Acts, the first being “Paisatges d’interiors” or Indoor Landscapes.
Indoor Landscapes include interiors from faraway countries, both exotic and appelling – Seul, New York, Sardinia, Los Angeles – but also familiar interiors nearby: farms and houses or mansions indoors of Vallromanes, Ametlla de Segarra or Ca l’Antiga in Teià.
Lombarte’s journey through farms, houses and mansions introduces a confrontation between the indoor environment and the human being. People and indoor landscape are equal and both have the same importance. As Marthe in Pierre Bonnard paintings, Lombarte’s women feel comfortable on an environment appreciated and very well-known be the artist. Colour and light enter the space to bit walls and furniture and explode when touching the bodies in lighting them to fully participate in the light fair.

From 21st May to 21st June 2015
Days depending on activities (Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 17:00 to 21:00 – Sunday from 11:00 to 14:00)

Act II: «Gaudint de la vida» (Enjoying Life)

For enjoying completely this second act, “Gaudint de la vida”, we need to be in the mood of the French nonchalance or the Italian dolcefarniente.
In Ramon Lombarte’s universe enjoying life is like blowing in the wind; to live and enjoy the present moment, the instant, without special outside appeal. At the outdoors or at home, lying on the grass or playing inside the tub; talking or nearly sleeping, life glides between the fingers of the hands.
This journey with Ramon Lombarte will lead you to the world of colours, to the dolce vita: your heart beats tidily; your body is at rest, napping or immerging into the flowery water.

From 25th June to 26th July 2015
Days depending on activities (Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 18:00 to 21:00 – Sunday from 11:00 to 14:00)

Finale: «Elles» (Women)

The closing act of Lombarte’s festival is a finale with women, only women. “Women”, very present in the first and second acts, are now the single protagonists.
In some pictures they appear alone without background, just them; no reference that will allow us put them in a known universe; in some pictures a woman play music, no audience, only she could listen. Having rest or a bath, sleeping, establishing a dialog with another woman or with herself; enjoying nature, solitude; remembering happy or likely forgotten pasts…
At the end, Lombarte does not need any excuse to paint women.

From 20th August to 20th September 2015
Days depending on activities (Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 18:00 to 21:00 – Sunday from 11:00 to 14:00)
